Symphony: 4th - Stainless
The Edge of the World and the Neverending Sea
Pianoforte: Only here
Where running feet find an end to the road
At the precipice of this filigree-slated coast
Can it be realised that this was an escape.
Pianoforte: Admit it at last!
Just before you hit this brink,
That you’ve been running away, turning your back,
Trying to get to the West
To the Separation,
So you wouldn’t have to face upward.
Breaking off relations,
Even when you needed them most,
You come to a complete stop
As the sea and the sky,
Melted into one by the forces that are beyond your control
Look straight back at you.
